Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Department Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that at approximately 3:00 p.m. on July 7, 2026, members of the Passaic Police Department were dispatched to St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic on a report of a shooting. There, Passaic Police were able to locate a 28-year-old male from Passaic, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Members of the Passaic Police Department were further able to determine that the shooting took place in the area of Hughes Street and Terhune Avenue in Passaic, New Jersey. Detectives were able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
