
1. On 06/01/2026 at 2:41 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old male, Joseph Cerezo-Soto of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Newark did release Mr. Cerezo-Soto on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Cerezo-Soto was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
2. On 06/01/2026 at 12:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on a report of an individual attempting to gain entry into parked motor vehicles. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old male, Brayan Perez of Paterson, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Perez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. Following the release of Mr. Perez, the police observed Mr. Perez open the door of a parked vehicle in an attempt to enter the vehicle in the parking lot of Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Perez was additionally charged with Trespassing [2C:18-3A]. Mr. Perez was issued his complaint summons for this incident and was released from police custody.
3. On 06/02/2026 at 7:05 AM, Officers from the NJ State Police responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take into custody a 33-year-old male, Benjamin Kendall of Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Kendall was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
4. On 06/02/2026 at 12:16 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Sebastian Montoya-Cervantes of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Passaic did release Mr. Montoya-Cervantes on his own recognizance pending a future court date, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
5. On 06/02/2026 at 6:56 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male, Chayanne Izquierdo of Little Ferry, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of South Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairfield, NJ in the amount of $550.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Izquierdo was unable to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the South Hackensack Police Department.
6. On 06/02/2026 at 8:35 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of an assault. Upon the arrival of the police, the individual involved was found to have been involved in a shoplifting incident and assaulted a Loss Prevention Officer while fleeing the store. The individual was located by the police near Sam’s Club located at 300 Park Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27-year-old male, Lloyd Haas of Queensbury, NY for Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)]. Mr. Haas was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
7. On 06/04/2026 at 3:43 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at Walmart on 05/29/2026, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Tyler Thornton of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Thornton was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Thornton was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
8. On 06/05/2026 at 9:21 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Adore Me Services located at 100 Electric Avenue on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Kevin Martin of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Mount Laurel, NJ in the amount of $600.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Moorestown, NJ in the amount of $500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Mountainside, NJ in the amount of $400.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Midland Park, NJ in the amount of $360.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Berlin, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Mr. Martin was released on his own recognizance pending future court dates for all 5 outstanding warrants. Mr. Martin was subsequently released from police custody.
9. On 06/05/2026 at 11:14 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 46-year-old male, Wilson Argueta of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $550.00. Mr. Argueta was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
10. On 06/05/2026 at 6:25 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Jorge Asencio-Volquez of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Passaic did release Mr. Asencio-Volquez on his own recognizance pending a future court date and he was released from police custody.
11. On 06/05/2026 at 11:21 PM, Secaucus Police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 33-year-old male, Val Brennan of State Island, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Trazodone [2C:35-10.5E(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Brennan was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
12. On 06/07/2026 at 11:33 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old male, Jason Gutierrez of Elmwood Park, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Mr. Gutierrez was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
13. On 06/07/2026 at 6:56 PM, Secaucus Police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of an individual trespassing on the property. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Jason Rodriguez of Paterson, NJ for Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-3B], Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Rodriguez was also found to have 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Little Falls, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Mr. Rodriguez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
14. On 06/07/2026 at 4:32 PM, Secaucus Police was advised of a theft incident that occurred at the UPS Store located at 101 Plaza Centre Road. During the investigation, on the same date at 7:51 PM, the police arrested a 37-year-old female, Lanissa Franklin of Jersey City, NJ for theft [2C:20-3A]. Ms. Franklin was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Ms. Franklin was further charged with Theft [2C:20-3A] for a separate theft incident that occurred at the UPS Store on 05/21/2026. Mr. Franklin was issued her complaint warrant for the incident that occurred on 06/07/2026 and a complaint summons for the incident that took place on 05/.21/2026 Ms. Franklin was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
