
Warrant Arrest – 03/30/2026 – 10:40 PM
On 03/30/2026 at approximately 2240 hours, PO Castellano observed a red Honda CRV traveling northbound on Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. near Cape May Street. A random NCIC inquiry revealed the registered owner, later identified as Karla M. Sanchez-Cepeda, had a suspended driver’s license, suspended vehicle registration, and an active warrant out of Kearny in the amount of $1,000 full bail. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Angelo Cifelli Drive and South Third Street. Upon approach, officers made contact with Sanchez-Cepeda, who confirmed she was the registered owner. Sanchez-Cepeda was only able to provide a New Jersey driver’s license. Dispatch confirmed the active warrant. Sanchez-Cepeda was asked to exit the vehicle and was placed under arrest for the outstanding ATS warrant.
Warrant Arrest – 03/31/2026 – 11:41 PM
On 03/31/2026 at approximately 2341 hours, PO Burgo observed a 2021 white Volkswagen traveling in the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. N. and Hamilton Street. A random NCIC inquiry revealed the registered owner, later identified as Derrick T. Demeskey, had an active warrant out of Bloomfield in the amount of $1,000. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. N. and William Street. Upon approach, officers made contact with Demeskey, who confirmed he was the registered owner. PO Castellano and PO Diouf arrived on scene to assist. Dispatch confirmed the active warrant, and additional ACS/NCIC checks returned negative for any other warrants or wants. Demeskey was asked to exit the vehicle and was placed under arrest for the outstanding ATS warrant.
DWI Arrest – 04/01/2026 – 1:47AM
On 04/01/2026 at approximately 0147 hours, PO Burgo observed a 2021 black Nissan disregard a traffic control device while traveling eastbound at Harrison Avenue and 1st Street. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Harrison Avenue near the I-280 eastbound ramp. Upon approach, officers made contact with the driver, identified as Max B. Carino. PO Rueda and PO Castellano arrived on scene to assist. Carino initially stated he disregarded the signal due to a family altercation in Jersey City, then provided inconsistent statements. Officers observed Carino to be overly anxious, with bloodshot/glossy eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. Mr. Carino exited the vehicle and agreed to perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests. Based on the results of the tests, Carino was placed under arrest for DWI.
Warrant Arrest - 04/01/2026 - 8:34 PM
On 04/01/2026 at approximately 2034 hours, PO Rueda observed a black 2016 Honda Civic traveling on Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. with its taillights inoperable. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at the intersection of Angelo Cifelli Drive and Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S. Upon approach, officers made contact with the driver, later identified as Wellington L. Morais Pereira De Souza. PO Castellano arrived on scene to assist. A records check through dispatch revealed De Souza had an active warrant out of Branchburg Township in the amount of $550 full bail. De Souza was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest.
Warrant Arrest - 04/01/2026 10:17 PM
On 04/01/2026 at approximately 2217 hours, PO Maitin observed a red moped without a license plate at the Enright gas station, 701 Harrison Avenue. The moped then traveled westbound on Harrison Avenue, at which time a motor vehicle stop was conducted in the area of 625 Harrison Avenue. Upon approach, officers made contact with the operator, identified as Alvaro Gonzalez Carvajal. The operator was unable to provide valid documentation and only produced a photograph of a driver’s license. A records check revealed Gonzalez Carvajal had an active warrant out of Harrison in the amount of $1,000 full bail. Mr. Gonzalez Carvajal was then placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant.
Warrant Arrest - 04/02/2026 - 12:30 AM
On 04/02/2026 at approximately 0030 hours, PO Castellano and PO Rueda observed an individual in the area of South Second Street and Essex Street, later identified as Jermaine Rabb, who was known from prior police encounters. PO Rueda was present. Officers had prior knowledge that Rabb had been positively identified in a shoplifting incident that occurred on 04/01/2026 at Walgreens, 432 Bergen Street. Officers were also aware Rabb had an outstanding unapprehended warrant out of Harrison. Mr. Rabb was advised of the warrant and placed under arrest.
DWI – Arrest
On April 3, 2026, at approximately 0315 hours, P.O. Carlos Delgado observed a vehicle stopped through multiple green light cycles at Harrison Avenue and Hiram Place. Upon investigation, the driver, Justin McDaniel, was found asleep behind the wheel with the vehicle in drive. P.O. Santiago Gomez and P.O. Jonathan Puglla assisted on scene. Signs of intoxication were observed, and open alcoholic beverages were located inside the vehicle. McDaniel failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. He later provided breath samples with a BAC of 0.12%, was issued multiple summonses, and released to a responsible party.
Burglary / Warrant Arrest
On April 3, 2026, at approximately 1415 hours, Det. Juliette Wilson observed a male matching the description of a suspect involved in a residential burglary that occurred on April 2, 2026, at 27 Cleveland Avenue. P.O. Maneiro, P.O. Vargas, P.O. Hoholick, P.O. Cosme, Det. Cruz, and Sgt. Baldeon responded to assist. The suspect, Thierno Bah, was located in the area of Passaic Avenue and Cleveland Avenue and taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. Further investigation revealed Bah admitted to entering the residence, stealing a package, and attempting to enter multiple additional properties and a vehicle. Bah was processed and transported to Hudson County Correctional Facility on burglary-related charges.
Theft of Services – Arrest
On April 4, 2026, at approximately 0133 hours, P.O. Santiago Gomez and P.O. Connor McClelland responded to B-52’s Lounge for a report of a patron refusing to pay his bill. Upon arrival, they met with the owner, Kevin Villanueva, who reported the incident. Investigation revealed that Nixon Jiron Sanchez had ordered multiple rounds of drinks totaling $640 and refused payment. Sgt. Iker Bermudez also responded to assist. Sanchez was placed under arrest for theft of services, processed at headquarters, and released on a summons pending court.
DWI / Weapons Investigation – Arrest
On April 4, 2026, at approximately 2147 hours, P.O. Jonathan Puglla was flagged down in the area of North 2nd Street and Harrison Avenue regarding a road rage incident involving a weapon. SLEO Rodriguez reported that a driver had followed him from Newark and threatened him with a knife. P.O. Santiago Gomez, P.O. Connor McClelland, P.O. Alex Naprawa, Sgt. David Burke, Sgt. Iker Bermudez, and Lt. Marc Silva responded to assist. The suspect, Khalif Walker, was detained and showed signs of intoxication. He failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. Walker later provided breath samples with a BAC of 0.16%, was issued multiple summonses, and released to a responsible party.
Warrant Arrest – April 05, 2026
At approximately 10:39 AM, PO Rivera conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Lincoln at the intersection of Passaic Avenue and Cleveland Avenue after random license plate inquiry on the vehicle revealed the registered owner had an active ATS warrant out of Kearny, NJ for $1,000. The driver, identified as the registered owner Freddy Rodriguez, provided his credentials and was advised of the warrant. Mr. Rodriguez was placed under arrest for the active warrant and later released from police custody on his own recognizance.
Warrant Arrest – April 05, 2026
At approximately 1:07 PM, PO Barbosa conducted a motor vehicle stop on a black Nissan Altima at the intersection of Passaic Avenue and Reynolds Avenue after random license plate inquiry on the vehicle revealed the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license and two active ATS warrants, one out of Newark, NJ for $2,000 and one out of Jersey City, NJ for $350.00. The driver, identified as the registered owner Khristina Revere, provided her credentials and was advised of the warrants. Ms. Revere was placed under arrest for the active warrants and later released from police custody on her own recognizance.
Warrant Arrest – April 05, 2026
At approximately 2:59 PM, PO Maitin was patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S when he observed a black Honda Civic traveling northbound on Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S. A random license plate inquiry received a return indicating the registered owner had one (1) active ATS warrant for $600.00 out of our jurisdiction. PO Maitin subsequently conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as the registered owner, Mr. Emanuel D. Britopoche. Mr. Britopoche was advised of the active warrant and placed under arrest, he was later released from police custody on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
Warrant Arrest – April 05, 2026
At approximately 6:53 PM, PO Rueda conducted a random license plate inquiry on a vehicle, a black Honda Accord, which revealed that the registered owner had one active warrant out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $1000.00. He conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and NJ Railroad Ave and confirmed that the driver of the vehicle was not the registered owner (RO) however, the passenger stated she was the registered owner and provided her credentials confirming she was in fact the RO, Ms. Ashley D. Rivera. She was advised of her active warrant and subsequently placed under arrest; custody was later transferred to North Bergen Police Department.
Warrant Arrest – April 06, 2026
At approximately 8:33 AM, PO Rivera conducted a motor vehicle stop on a brown Jeep at the intersection of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. and Central Avenue after random license plate inquiry on the vehicle revealed the registered owner had an active ATS warrant one out of our jurisdiction for $1,000. The driver, identified as the registered owner, Ms. Anakaroli Barbosa, provided her credentials and was advised of the warrant. Ms. Barbosa was placed under arrest for the active warrant and later released from police custody on her own recognizance.
Warrant Arrest – April 06, 2026
At approximately 3:58 PM, PO Barbosa was proactively patrolling the area of North 5th Street and Davis Street, when he observed an individual identified as Mr. James McGovern, whom he knew had an active warrant out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $700.00. He exited his patrol vehicle and proceeded to approach Mr. McGovern near the intersection of North 5th Street and Davis Street at which time he advised him of the active warrant. Communications confirmed the warrant and Mr. McGovern was placed under arrest. Custody was later released to Kearny Police Department.
Warrant Arrest – April 06, 2026
At approximately 10:07 PM PO Rueda was patrolling the area of Harrison Avenue when he observed a red Jeep Grand Cherokee go straight in a left turn only lane. He conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and N 2nd Street and made contact with the driver, later identified as the registered owner, Ms. Ayonna M. McKnight. Dispatch then advised that Ms. Ayonna M. McKnight had one (1) active ACS warrant out of East Orange, NJ. Ms. McKnight was subsequently placed under arrest and custody was later transferred to East Orange Police Department.
DWI/Criminal Arrest – April 07, 2026
At approximately 1:23 AM, PO Rueda conducted a motor vehicle stop on a gray Chevrolet Cruze on the 400 block of Cleveland Avenue after he observed the vehicle swerving and nearly striking parked vehicles. While approaching the vehicle, the driver, Mr. Martin Coleman exited the vehicle and stated he needed to use the bathroom. He was asked to get back into the vehicle and provide proper documentation to which he complied. The officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath, and observed that his eyes were bloodshot and watery. Mr. Coleman was advised that series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests would be conducted which he was unable to successfully complete. While PO Castellano was conducting SFST’s, PO Rueda observed that the Tennessee registration on the vehicle at the time of the stop was no longer attached to the vehicle and that a New Jersey registration was now displayed. Mr. Coleman was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Upon reviewing the dash camera of patrol vehicle CSU-2, Mr. Coleman is observed removing the Tennessee registration and attempting to conceal it with documentation he had in his hands. Additionally, Mr. Coleman was charged with Tampering with Evidence, Hindering Apprehension and Obstruction. The charges were placed on a summons, and he was released from police custody pending a future court date.
