Wyckoff Police Press Release: April 3, 2026

On February 15, Sgt. Michael DeMaio received information from Franklin Lakes Police regarding a suspicious pawn transaction that occurred in Wyckoff on February 13. He investigated and determined that Stephanie Vogel, Daytona Beach FL., age 41, had pawned jewelry using a stolen Florida driver’s license. The license contained the identification of another person, who was not involved in the pawn transaction. On March 17, Sgt. DeMaio issued a warrant for her arrest charging her with wrongful impersonation, forgery, and uttering a false government document. On March 31, Ramsey NJ Police reported that Vogel was in their custody on an unrelated matter. Upon her release from Ramsey, she was turned over to the Wyckoff Police, processed, and remanded to the Bergen County Correctional and Rehabilitation Center.

On February 17, officers were dispatched to ShopRite on a report of shoplifting. The store reported that a male subject attempted to leave the store with $445.00 in merchandise without paying. The subject left the area prior to police arrival. Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci investigated and identified the subject as Joseph Medina, Dumont NJ, age 51. A warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with 4th degree shoplifting.

On February 19, at approximately 5:30 PM, officers were dispatched to Stop & Shop on a reported shoplifting that occurred earlier in the day. The store reported that a male subject exited the store without paying for $210.70 in merchandise. Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci investigated and identified the subject as Alan Pino, Hicksville NY, age 31. A complaint summons was issued charging him with one count of 4th degree shoplifting.

On February 20, at approximately 3:10 PM, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Monroe Avenue on a report that a vehicle struck a residence. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Mariusz Paluch, Wyckoff NJ, age 50. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, and failure to maintain a lane. He was released to the custody of a family member. The vehicle was towed from the scene and held for 12 hours under John’s Law. The home sustained minor damage and was deemed habitable.

On March 5, at approximately 10:30 AM, officers responded to Stop & Shop on a report of shoplifting. Loss prevention advised that on March 4, a male subject had exited the store with $415.68 in merchandise without making payment. Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci investigated and identified the subject as Kiernan Todzia, Staten Island NY, age 24. A warrant was issued for his arrest charging him with one count of shoplifting.

On April 1, the Monmouth County NJ Jail reported that they were releasing Reina Terezon-Zepeda, Newark NJ, age 36 from their custody. On January 16, P.O. James Bakelaar issued a warrant for her arrest stemming from a shoplifting at Marshall’s. Terezon-Zepeda was transported from Monmouth County and lodged in the Bergen County Correctional and Rehabilitation Center.


The Wyckoff Police Department would like to point out that the above individuals have been charged with a crime, offense, and or motor vehicle violations. However, they are presumed innocent unless and until they are found guilty in a court of law.

We cannot stress enough the value of our residents remaining alert in their neighborhoods and reporting anything unusual or suspicious to the police, “Hear It! See It!, Report It!”
