Warrant Arrest / Motor Vehicle Stop – 03/21/2026 – 1709 Hours
Officer Carlos Delgado, along with Det. Sgt. Freddy Lecca and Officer Alex Naprawa, conducted a motor vehicle stop at Passaic Ave and Reynolds Ave in East Newark after observing a traffic violation. The driver, Peter Murphy, was found to have an active ACS warrant out of Irvington and was operating a vehicle while suspended. He was placed under arrest and transported to Irvington PD without incident.

Theft Investigation / Warrant Arrest – 03/21/2026 – 2006 Hours
Officer Connor McClelland, assisted by Officers Nicole Yamuca and Alex Naprawa, responded to 2 Washington Street for a reported theft of an Uber delivery valued at approximately $315. During the investigation, the reporting party, Rosa Feliciano, was found to have two active ATS warrants and was placed under arrest. Bail was later posted and she was released pending court.

Warrant Arrest (Prisoner Pickup) – 03/21/2026 – 2233 Hours
Officers Alex Naprawa and Connor McClelland responded to Roselle Police Department to take custody of Mackenzie Barthelus on an active ATS warrant out of Harrison. The subject was transported to Hudson County Correctional Facility without incident.

Warrant Arrest / Motor Vehicle Stop – 03/22/2026 – 1914 Hours
Officer Alex Naprawa, assisted by Officer Connor McClelland, conducted a traffic stop at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd and Harrison Ave after identifying a vehicle associated with a suspended driver and active warrant. The driver, Kushithku Kandra, was placed under arrest on an ATS warrant. Bail was posted at headquarters and he was released pending court.

Warrant Arrest / Suspended Driver – 03/22/2026 – 2015 Hours
Officer Nicole Yamuca, assisted by Officer Santiago Gomez, conducted a traffic stop at Passaic Ave and Harrison Ave. The driver, Joshua Corbin, was found to have a suspended license and an active ATS warrant. He was placed under arrest, transported to headquarters, and later released after bail was posted. A summons for driving while suspended was issued.

DWI Arrest – 03/23/2026 – 0113 Hours
Officer Carlos Delgado, assisted by Det. Sgt. Freddy Lecca, conducted a motor vehicle stop at Harrison Ave and N 2nd Street after observing erratic driving. The driver, Hardat Bhaggoo, exhibited signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested for DWI, processed, and later released to a responsible party in accordance with John’s Law. Multiple summonses were issued and the vehicle was impounded.

Warrant Arrest – 03/24/2026 – 10:48 PM
On 03/24/2026 at approximately 2248 hours, PO Rueda was proactively patrolling the area of Harrison Ave when a random license plate inquiry was conducted on a blue 2022 Honda Accord. The inquiry revealed the registered owner had an active warrant. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Harrison Ave and Church Square. Upon approach, the driver was unable to provide credentials and verbally identified himself as Wilson S. Paqui Gonzalez. A check confirmed one active warrant out of Mt. Arlington in the amount of $1,000.00. The warrant was confirmed and Wilson S. Paqui Gonzalez was placed under arrest without incident.

Warrant Arrest – 03/25/2026 – 4:16 AM
On 03/25/2026 at approximately 0416 hours, PO Maitin was proactively patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S when a random license plate inquiry was conducted on a Nissan Murano. The inquiry revealed the registered owner had a suspended NJ driver’s license and an active ATS warrant out of the Harrison Police Department in the amount of $600.00. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Guyon Dr. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Josue Cortez-Vasquez, who provided a valid New York learner’s permit. A check through ATS confirmed the active warrant out of Harrison. The warrant was confirmed and Josue Cortez-Vasquez was placed under arrest without incident.

Drug / Warrant Arrests – 03/25/2026 – 11:58 PM
On 03/25/2026 at approximately 2358 hours, PO Burgo was proactively patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Essex St when a random license plate inquiry was conducted on a 2011 gray Nissan. The inquiry revealed the registered owner had an active warrant out of South Orange in the amount of $2,000.00. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on the I-280E ramp and Bergen St. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Jesus Ferriera-Vargas, the registered owner. Rear passenger was identified as Kyel M. Watson, and the front passenger was identified as Mulbah S. Fofana. A check through ATS/NCIC confirmed one (1) active warrant for Ferriera-Vargas out of South Orange ($2,000.00), one (1) active ATS warrant out of Hillside ($2,500.00) and an NCIC want (NIC #W902467772) out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office for Watson, and one (1) active ATS warrant out of Woodbridge ($1,000.00) for Fofana. PO Soltis, PO Diouf, PO Maitin, Sgt Archibald, and PO Rivera arrived on scene to assist. All warrants were confirmed and Jesus Ferriera-Vargas, Kyel M. Watson, and Mulbah S. Fofana were placed under arrest without incident. During an inventory of Watson’s property, a black bag was found to contain $1,272.53 U.S. currency and seven (7) pills stamped “M523” believed to be Percocet. Watson was additionally charged with possession of a prescription legend drug.

Warrant Arrest – 03-26-2026 – 7:05 PM
On 03/26/2026 at approximately 1905 hours, PO Maitin was proactively patrolling the area of S 1st St when a Honda HR-V was observed. A random license plate inquiry revealed the registered owner had a suspended NJ driver’s license and an active ATS warrant out of Union Township in the amount of $750.00. The vehicle was located parked in the area of S 2nd St and Sussex St. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Juan Moran-Alvarez, the registered owner. A check through ATS confirmed the active warrant. PO Diouf arrived on scene to assist. The warrant was confirmed and Juan Moran-Alvarez was placed under arrest without incident.

Warrant Arrest – 03/26/2026 – 7:53 PM
On 03/26/2026 at approximately 1953 hours, PO Rueda was proactively patrolling the area of Harrison Ave when a random license plate inquiry was conducted on a white 2023 Porsche Macan. The inquiry revealed the registered owner had an active warrant. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at 6th St and Harrison Ave. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Wipwadee Yaikul, the registered owner. A check confirmed one active warrant out of Harrison in the amount of $600.00. Wipwadee Yaikul was placed under arrest without incident.

Wanted Person Arrest – 03/26/2026 – 7:08 PM
On 03/26/2026 at approximately 1908 hours, PO Rivera was proactively patrolling the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Somerset St when a random license plate inquiry was conducted on a gray Tesla YP. The inquiry revealed the registered owner had a suspended NJ driver’s license. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Somerset St and Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S. Upon approach, the driver was identified as Anthony R. Marrero. A check through NCIC confirmed an active want out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office. P.O. Burgo arrived on scene to assist. The want was confirmed via hit confirmation and Anthony R. Marrero was placed under arrest without incident.

Motor Vehicle Theft Arrest – 03/26/2026 – 9:48 PM
On 03/26/2026 at approximately 2148 hours, PO Diouf responded to 404 Cross St on a report of a parking complaint. Upon arrival, officers observed a white 2008 Mercedes Benz E350 blocking a driveway. A subsequent inquiry revealed the plate and vehicle were reported stolen out of Passaic. PO Rueda, PO Soltis, PO Castellano, and Sgt. Archibald arrived on scene to assist. Officers conducted an on-scene investigation, including canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance footage from nearby residences. The investigation revealed a suspect operating the stolen vehicle and switching license plates. Officers responded to a nearby residence and made contact with the suspect. The suspect, Mr. Hasan Eslam of Harrison, was placed under arrest without incident and charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle & Receiving Stolen Property.
