
Theft
03/16/2026-Officers responded to 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Walgreens) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took numerous bags of candy from the shelves then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $92.63. This incident is under investigation.
03/17/2026-Alisa Sosnovskaia age 18 of Bloomfield NJ and Juvenile female age 17 of Bloomfield NJ. Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, two females took numerous makeup products then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $48.26. Officers located the suspects in a vehicle nearby. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.
03/18/2026-Officers responded to 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Walgreens) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took mouth wash and chap sticks then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $83.45. This incident is under investigation.
03/18/2026-Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took two Vector Jump Starters then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $298.00. This incident is under investigation.
03/18/2026-Officers responded to 60 Orange Street (Home Depot) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took two DEW Power Inverters then left the store without paying. The items were valued at $318.00. This incident is under investigation.
03/18/2026-Officers responded to 168 Bloomfield Avenue (Popeye’s) on report of a Theft. A female left her wallet on a table while she ordered her food. She then sat down to eat and realized the wallet was left on a different table. When she went back to retrieve her wallet, it was missing. The wallet contained $9000.00 and identification. This incident is under investigation.
03/19/2026-Officers responded to the 100 block of Franklin Street on report of a Theft. A resident had his motorcycle parked on a motorcycle lift and when he returned to it on 03/19/2026, he noticed the motorcycle lift was missing. The lift was valued at $150.00. This incident is under investigation.
03/19/2026-Officers responded to the area of Appleton Road on report of a Theft. According to a resident, her three children met up with three other male juveniles who asked them to ride bikes together. Her children let the three other juvenile males ride their bikes, however, they rode away with the three bikes and never returned. The bikes were valued at $550.00. This incident is under investigation.
03/20/2026-Taisha Sykes age 47 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to 250 Glenwood Avenue (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, two females took leggings and self-care items and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $215.45. Officers located one of the suspects at the bus stop with the proceeds. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.
03/22/2026-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Theft from Auto in the area of Patton Drive. The resident parked her vehicle overnight and when she returned to it the following morning, she noticed a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, documentation and $20.00 missing from the vehicle. This incident is under investigation.
03/22/2026-Officers responded to the area of Patton Drive on report of a Theft from Auto. A resident received a notification on his phone that his car door was opened. When he went to check his vehicle, he noticed his wallet, US Passport and insurance card were missing. This incident is under investigation.
Burglary
03/16/2026-Officers responded to the area of Weaver Avenue on report of a Burglary. A resident noticed the front window of the residence was forcefully opened. The resident then noticed the key fobs and both of his vehicles were missing. The vehicles, a black 2022 Mercedes Benz GLS and a black 2025 Range Rover were entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.
03/19/2026-Officers responded to 211 Grove Street (iStorage) on report of a Burglary. According to the manager, a storage unit that became property of the storage facility due to non-payment was broken into. The lock was cut an all the contents of the unit were missing. This incident is under investigation.
These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time.
