
ELUDING / WARRENT ARREST – March 16, 2026
On Monday, March 16, 2026, at 2158 hours PO Puglla attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on a black moped with no license plate on Passaic Ave. When PO Puglla activated his emergency lights, the driver refused to stop and fled the area. PO Puglla later located the moped and a male party matching the description of the driver in the area of Bergen & Dey Street. After speaking with the male party and him admitting he was driving, Mr. Johan Montoya of Newark was placed under arrest for Eluding. It was also determined that Mr. Montoya had an outstanding warrant out of Passaic City. Mr. Montoya was charged with Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer and issued nine motor vehicle summonses.
WARRANT ARREST – March 17, 2026 – 12:12am
On Tuesday March 17, 2026, at 0012 hours, Newark PD dropped off Mr. Jose I. Vasquez Garcia, who had an outstanding warrant out of the Town of Harrison. Mr. Vasquez was taken into custody and was able to post his bail. Mr. Vasquez was processed, posted bail, advised of his new court date and released.
WARRANT ARREST – March 17, 2026 - 1:15am
On Tuesday March 17, 2026, at 0115 hours, PO Delgado, PO McClelland & Sgt. Lecca were dispatched to police headquarters for a male party needing assistance. Upon arrival, Sgt. Lecca recognized the male party, Mr. Osvaldo Ramirez from Harrison, who he has dealt with several times in the past and knew there was an active warrant out of Town of Harrison. Mr. Ramierz was run through NCIC, this check confirmed the active warrant, and Mr. Ramirez was placed under arrest. Mr. Ramirez was processed, released on his own recognizance with a new court date and transported to JCMC for medical treatment.
WARRANT ARREST – 03/18/2026 - 7:38 PM
On 03/18/2026 at approximately 1938 hours, PO Rueda observed a gray 2012 Honda Odessey in the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Essex St and conducted a random license plate inquiry. The inquiry revealed the registered owner had an active warrant. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Essex St and Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S. The driver was identified as Luis A. Almachi Espin, confirmed as the registered owner. Dispatch advised Espin had one active ATS warrant out of Elmwood Park =in the amount of $1,000.00 with 10% allowed. PO Gangi arrived on scene to assist. Espin was placed under arrest without incident.
WARRANT ARREST – 03/19/2026 – 2:41 AM
On 03/19/2026 at approximately 0241 hours, PO Castellano observed a gray 2012 Honda Accord parked at Harrison Ave and Manor Ave with a female seated in the driver’s seat. A random license plate inquiry revealed the registered owner, Silvana A. Tejada-Federici, had two active ATS warrants: Passaic in the amount of $1,000.00 full bail and Harrison in the amount of $600.00 full bail. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Harrison Ave and Manor Ave. The driver was identified as Ms. Tejada-Federici, confirmed as the registered owner. She was unable to provide credentials and confirmed her identity, matching warrant information. Dispatch confirmed both warrants were active. PO Rueda and PO Gangi arrived on scene to assist. Tejada-Federici was placed under arrest without incident.
WARRANT ARREST – 03/19/2026 – 10:41 PM
On 03/19/2026 at approximately 2241 hours, PO Rueda observed a silver 2009 Honda Civic in the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd N and conducted a random license plate inquiry, which revealed the registered owner had an active warrant. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Central Ave and Frank E. Rodgers Blvd N. The driver was identified as Jimmy F. Dongo Alvarez, confirmed as the registered owner. Dispatch advised Alvarez had one active ATS warrant out of Harrison in the amount of $600.00 full. PO Castellano arrived on scene to assist. Alvarez was placed under arrest without incident.
WARRANT ARREST – 03/19/2026 – 10:30 PM
On 03/19/2026 at approximately 2230 hours, PO Gangi observed a black 2013 Hyundai Sonata bearing NJ registration R38WPT traveling northbound on Passaic Ave in the area of Hamilton St and conducted a random license plate inquiry, which revealed the registered owner had an active ATS warrant out of Newark in the amount of $550.00. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Passaic Ave and Mulock Pl. PO Diouf arrived on scene to assist. The driver was identified as Kenya A. Henry McClain, confirmed as the registered owner. Dispatch confirmed the warrant was active with 10% bail allowed. Henry McClain was placed under arrest without incident.
WANTED PERSON ARREST / WARRANT ARREST – 03/19/2026 – 7:19 PM
On 03/19/2026 at approximately 1919 hours, PO Soltis observed a gray Ford Escape in the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Riverbend Dr and conducted a random license plate inquiry, which revealed the registered owner had a suspended license. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Cape May St. The driver was observed not wearing a seatbelt and was identified as Manuel M. Morales. A records check revealed an active NCIC want out of Newark. PO Rueda, PO Maitin, and PO Burgo arrived on scene to assist. Morales was placed under arrest without incident and secured in a patrol vehicle. The front passenger, identified as Geovannie J. Rivera, was found to have two active warrants: West Orange ($300.00) and Newark ($2,500.00). Rivera was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest without incident.
WARRANT / NARCOTIC ARREST – 03/19/2026 – 10:53 PM
On 03/19/2026 at approximately 2253 hours, while assisting on a motor vehicle stop in the area of 335 Central Ave PO Castellano observed Mr. Carlos Gonzalez walking westbound on Central Ave toward N 3rd St, known from prior police encounters. A warrant check revealed one active ACS warrant out of Kearny in the amount of $1,000.00 full bail. Gonzalez was located at Central Ave and N 3rd St, advised to stop, and complied. Sgt. Archibald, PO Soltis, and PO Diouf were on scene. Gonzalez was placed under arrest without incident. A search incident to arrest revealed one small clear plastic capsule containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.
DWI ARREST – 03/20/2026 – 3:08 AM
On 03/20/2026 at approximately 0308 hours, PO Gangi observed a black 2015 Nissan Altima running and parked on a fire hydrant in the area of 416 Frank E. Rodgers Blvd N. The driver, identified as Shantirah M. Burgess, was found asleep behind the wheel. PO Diouf, PO Burgo, and PO Maitin arrived on scene to assist. Upon contact, Burgess appeared disoriented, emitted a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, and admitted to consuming alcohol. She exited the vehicle and was observed to be unsteady on her feet. Burgess refused to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Based on the totality of the circumstances, Burgess was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
WARRANT ARREST – 03/20/2026 – 7:29 PM
On 03/20/2026 at approximately 1929 hours, PO Maitin observed a gray Hyundai Santa Fe traveling northbound on Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and conducted a license plate inquiry, which revealed the registered owner had identification only and an active warrant. Dispatch confirmed the registered owner, Carlos A. Llorihernandez, had an active warrant out of Union Township in the amount of $1,500.00 full bail, no 10%. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Somerset St. Llorihernandez was unable to provide a valid driver’s license and presented an Ecuadorian identification card. PO Gangi arrived on scene to assist. Llorihernandez was placed under arrest without incident.
DWI ARREST – 03/21/2026 – 1:07 AM
On 03/21/2026 at approximately 0107 hours, PO Rueda observed a gray 2002 Toyota Camry in the area of Warren St fail to observe a traffic control device. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at 7th St and Wilhelm St. The driver was identified as Erik Rivera-Porro, who failed to provide all requested documentation. While speaking with Rivera-Porro, PO Rueda observed bloodshot, watery eyes and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Rivera-Porro admitted to consuming alcohol. PO Castellano, PO Rivera, and Sgt. Archibald arrived on scene to assist. Rivera-Porro was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Based on the results and totality of the circumstances, Rivera-Porro was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
DWI ARREST – 03/21/2026 – 2:46 AM
On 03/21/2026 at approximately 0246 hours, PO Burgo observed a green 2010 Subaru in the area of 7th St and Harrison Ave fail to observe a traffic control device. A motor vehicle stop was conducted at Harrison Ave and Supor Blvd. The driver was identified as Boris E. Yangua-Jumbo. While speaking with Yangua-Jumbo, PO Burgo observed bloodshot, glossy eyes and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Yangua-Jumbo admitted to consuming alcohol. PO Gangi, PO Castellano, and PO Maitin arrived on scene to assist. Yangua-Jumbo was administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Based on the results and totality of the circumstances, Yangua-Jumbo was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
