Officer Santiago Gomez and Officer Anthony Cecere responded to the Hanover Police Department to take custody of Don Oba of Newark, who had an active warrant issued by the Harrison Municipal Court. Oba was placed under arrest and transported to Hudson County Jail without incident.
March 10, 2026 – 2:00 AM – Wanted Person Arrest
Officer Carlos Delgado conducted a motor vehicle stop on Harrison Avenue after observing a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. The driver, Alber Almonte-Paulino of Newark, was found to have an active warrant out of Essex County. He was placed under arrest by Officer Jonathan Puglla and transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
March 10, 2026 – 10:01 PM – Warrant Arrest
Officer Anthony Cecere and Officer Santiago Gomez observed Jermaine Rabb of Newark in the area of First Street and Harrison Avenue and confirmed he had an active warrant issued by Bloomfield. Rabb was placed under arrest and transported to Harrison Police Headquarters before being turned over to Bloomfield Police Department.
March 10, 2026 – 11:28 PM – Warrant Arrest
Officers Jonathan Puglla and Carlos Delgado responded to the Raritan Police Department to take custody of Rashid Waajid of West Orange, who had an outstanding warrant issued by the Harrison Municipal Court. Waajid was placed under arrest and transported to Hudson County Correctional Facility without incident.
March 11, 2026 – 3:07 AM – Warrant Arrest
Officer Anthony Cecere and Officer Santiago Gomez responded to the East Orange Police Department to take custody of Nygee Brown of Orange, who had an outstanding warrant issued by the Harrison Municipal Court. Brown was taken into custody and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility without incident.
March 11, 2026 – 5:06 PM – Arrest on Outstanding Warrants
Officer Jonathan Puglla responded to 401 Warren Street on a report of a suspicious person. Officers made contact with Nyieb Hastings of Newark, who was found to have outstanding warrants issued by Kearny and Secaucus totaling $2,000. Hastings was placed under arrest without incident and transported to Harrison Police Headquarters before being transferred to Kearny Police Department. Officers Luann Oliveira, Carlos Delgado, and Detective Sergeant Freddy Lecca assisted.
March 11, 2026 – 8:01 PM – Fugitive Arrest / Motor Vehicle Stop
Officer Anthony Cecere conducted a motor vehicle stop at Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard South and Sussex Street after observing a traffic violation. The driver, identified as Eureka Elissaint of Newark, was found to have an active extraditable warrant out of Muskingum County, Ohio. Officers Connor McClelland and Detective Sergeant Freddy Lecca assisted on scene. Elissaint was placed under arrest and transported to Hudson County Correctional Facility.
March 11, 2026 – 10:45 PM – Stolen Vehicle / Motor Vehicle Crash
Officer Javier Sojos responded to the area of 119 Harrison Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle that fled the scene. Investigation revealed the vehicle was a Hyundai Sonata that had been stolen out of Irvington. The vehicle struck multiple cars along Harrison Avenue before coming to rest near Hiram Place. The occupants fled on foot but officers quickly located two juvenile suspects. Officers Anthony Cecere, Santiago Gomez, Carlos Delgado, and Jonathan Puglla assisted in the investigation. The juveniles were transported to headquarters and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of burglary tools. The driver fled the scene and remains under investigation.
Wanted Person - 03/12/2026 – 2:27 AM
PO Castellano conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of 610 Supor Blvd. after confirming the registered owner of a vehicle had an active NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office for Child Support. Mr. Renato M. Vigo was taken into custody without incident.
Warrant Arrest - 03/12/2026 – 8:17 PM
PO Gangi conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Harrison Ave. and Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. N after observing a vehicle operating without headlights. A subsequent inquiry revealed the registered owner, Jose I. Rodriguez, had an active warrant issued by Pascack Joint Municipal Court for $1,000 full bail. Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident.
Wanted Person - 03/13/2026 – 8:58 PM
While on patrol in the area of Davis Ave. and Cross St., PO Soltis conducted a motor vehicle stop after a license plate inquiry revealed the registered owner was wanted out of North Arlington for Receiving Stolen Property and had an active $1,000 ATS warrant out of Garfield. Jalyza M. Casulsantiago was taken into custody without incident.
DWI / Warrant Arrest - 03/14/2026 – 1:23 AM
PO Burgo conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of N. 3rd St. and Cleveland Ave. after observing a traffic violation. The driver, Edwar A. Prado-Cabrera, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following field sobriety tests. A passenger, Johny R. Vera-Lopez, was also taken into custody after officers discovered an active $1,000 warrant issued by Newark Municipal Court.
DWI Arrest - 03/14/2026 – 3:09 AM
PO Maitin and other Harrison PD Officers responded to the area of Frank E. Rodgers Blvd. S and Guyon Dr. on a report of a possible intoxicated driver operating a vehicle with a damaged wheel. Officers located a black Genesis in front of 777 S. 3rd St. that had been operated while missing the front passenger-side wheel and riding on the rim. An off-duty Newark Police officer reported observing the vehicle swerving and sparking while traveling from the Jackson Street Bridge before stopping in Harrison. The driver, Justin Jagdeo, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated following field sobriety testing.
DWI Arrest – 3/15/2026 – 1:10 AM
On 03/15/2026 at approximately 0110 hours, PO Soltis conducted a motor vehicle stop at Frank E. Rodgers Blvd S and Bergen St after observing a brown Honda CR-V failing to maintain its lane, crossing the double yellow center lines, nearly striking a stopped vehicle, and changing lanes without signaling. The operator, identified as Luis E. Lucinlopez, exhibited signs of intoxication including the odor of an alcoholic beverage, bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, and slow movements. Mr. Lucinlopez initially failed to comply with requests and was assisted from the vehicle by officers. He admitted to consuming alcohol and was escorted to a flat, level sidewalk near Bergen St and Wendy’s where Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Mr. Lucinlopez was unable to safely complete the tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
