KEVIN J. MICUCCI
PHILLIPSBURG, NEW JERSEY
Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone, Chief of Detectives Brenton Warne, and Phillipsburg Police Department Chief Anthony Goodell announce that on Friday, February 20, 2026, a Warren County jury found Kevin Micucci, age 39 of Phillipsburg, New Jersey guilty of:
- Sexual Assault by Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b, a crime of the Second Degree;
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1), a crime of the Second Degree;
- Lewdness, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-4b(1), a crime of the Fourth Degree.
The jury found the defendant not guilty as to a second count of Sexual Assault by Contact, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b, a crime of the Second Degree.
The sexual acts occurred in 2018 and 2019 when the victim, who was known to the defendant, was less than thirteen (13) years old.
The Honorable Reema Sethi Kareer, J.S.C. presided over the trial. Micucci is tentatively scheduled for sentencing on April 10, 2026. Micucci is remanded to the Warren County Correctional Center until sentencing.
At sentencing, Micucci faces a sentence of up to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison for each second degree crime, and up to eighteen (18) months New Jersey State Prison for the fourth degree crime. He will also be subject to Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for life.
The State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent DiMarco at trial. Assistant Prosecutor DiMarco along with Detective Sergeant Heidi Buss are commended for their outstanding work in investigating and prosecuting this case.
