Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of 31-year-old NICHOLAS K. DISPOTO of Hillsdale, NJ; 28-year-old JASON R. VRADENBURG of Park Ridge, NJ; 29-year-old MARTINA L. MCGEE of Hillsdale, NJ; and 59-year-old THOMAS M. SCHIAVONE of St. James City, FL, on charges stemming from an aggravated assault investigation. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Park Ridge Police Department, under the direction of Chief Joseph Rampolla.

On December 6, 2025, the Park Ridge Police Department responded to a disturbance in progress in front of The Park Steakhouse in Park Ridge, NJ. Upon arrival, responding officers located an adult male on the ground with an apparent head injury. He was transported to an area hospital by EMS with serious injuries, hospitalized and released several days later.

During the initial investigation into the incident by the Park Ridge Police Department, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit was notified. Upon further review, the Prosecutor’s Office superseded the investigation and determined that NICHOLAS K. DISPOTO, an off-duty police officer from the Montvale Police Department, was involved in the physical altercation that led to the victim’s significant bodily injury. The investigation further revealed that DISPOTO concealed himself inside The Park Steakhouse while responding police officers arrived on scene.

Additionally, the investigation revealed that JASON R. VRADENBURG, an off-duty police officer from the Park Ridge Police Department, as well as MARTINA L. MCGEE, and THOMAS M. SCHIAVONE, provided responding officers with false information that aided in concealing DISPOTO’s involvement in the incident.

As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, JASON R. VRADENBURG was arrested and charged with third-degree endangering an injured victim, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1.2A; third-degree tampering with public records, N.J.S.A. 2C:28-7A(2); and fourth-degree hindering apprehension of another, N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3A(1). VRADENBURG was released pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

On Friday, February 13, 2026, as a result of the investigation, NICHOLAS K. DISPOTO was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1B (7); third-degree endangering an injured victim, N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1.2A; and fourth-degree obstructing administration of law, N.J.S.A. 2C: 29-1A. DISPOTO was released pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Additionally, on Friday, February 13, 2026, as a result of the investigation, MARTINA L. MCGEE and THOMAS M. SCHIAVONE were each charged with fourth-degree hindering apprehension of another, N.J.S.A. 2C: 29-3A(1). MCGEE and SCHIAVONE are pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that all of the charges are merely accusations, and that all of the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
