On December 7, 2025, Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci began an investigation concerning a stolen and fraudulent deposit of a bank check. On February 3, 2026, he charged Jessica Jackson, Paterson NJ, age 31 with one count of theft. She was processed at headquarters and released pending a court date.

On January 4, Sgt. Kyle Ferreira took a report of shoplifting that occurred at the Stop & Shop Supermarket. P.O. James Bakelaar investigated and identified the suspect. On January 16, 2026, he issued a warrant for the arrest of Marissa Mango, East Windsor NJ, age 36, charging her with one count of shoplifting.

On January 5, P.O. James Harte took a report of shoplifting that occurred at the Stop & Shop Supermarket. P.O. James Bakelaar investigated and was able to identify one of the three suspects involved. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Romir J. Green, Brooklyn NY, age 27, charging him with one count of shoplifting.

On January 24, at approximately 4:30 AM, P.O. Kevin Oldewurtel observed a vehicle parked on the sidewalk on Sicomac Avenue. While speaking with the driver, he detected signs of impairment. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Colleen Careri, Ridgewood NJ, age 39. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to chemical breath testing, failure to obey traffic markings, reckless driving, and improper parking on the sidewalk. Her vehicle was impounded and held for 12 hours under John’s Law.

On January 31, thirteen summonses were issued to Wyckoff property owners and tenants who neglected to remove snow and ice from their sidewalks. Township Ordinance 165-1:
§ 165-1 Removal of snow by owners or tenants of property; enforcement.
A. The owner or owners, tenant or tenants of any lands abutting upon the public streets of the Township of Wyckoff shall remove all snow and ice from the abutting sidewalks of such public streets within 12 hours of daylight after the same shall fall or be formed thereon.
B. The enforcement of this section shall only commence upon written order of the Chief of Police of the Wyckoff Police Department. Before issuing such order, the Chief of Police shall consider the effect of the severity and amount of any snow fall upon the reasonable opportunity for the owner or owners or tenant or tenants of any land to remove snow and ice from the abutting sidewalk and the reasonable opportunity for the Township of Wyckoff to remove snow and ice from sidewalks abutting municipally owned land.

Those that receive summonses are required to appear in Municipal Court and subject to fines not exceeding $500.00.

On February 6, Sgt. Ryan Tenney and P.O. Joseph Benanti responded to the ShopRite Supermarket on a reported shoplifter in custody. Carol L. Miglin, Wayne NJ, age 69 was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. She was charged with one count of shoplifting and issued a no trespass order by ShopRite.


The Wyckoff Police Department would like to point out that the above individuals have been charged with a crime, offense, and or motor vehicle violations. However, they are presumed innocent unless and until they are found guilty in a court of law.

We cannot stress enough the value of our residents remaining alert in their neighborhoods and reporting anything unusual or suspicious to the police, “Hear It! See It!, Report It!”

We encourage all residents to report ANY suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity occurring at any time to the Wyckoff Police – County Communications Center at 201-891-2121 or 911 in the event of an emergency.
