Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

This weekend, the Nature Center kicks off February with a sweet start: Crafty Critters at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 7; then on Sunday the 8th, two Sap to Syrup maple sugaring sessions are available for registration. If you haven't already made plans for the kids during the upcoming February School Break from February 16 to 20, check out TNC's school break camp for Pre-K-6th graders. The Tenafly Library Friends are pleased to have selected as their next Tuesday afternoon movie: All We Imagine As Light. This 2024 drama is the first film from India to win the prestigious Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival. It will be shown this Tuesday, February, 10 at 1:00 pm at the Tenafly Library. Come enjoy another interesting film free of charge.

Experience a Tenafly High School Orchestra Concert lead by the Orchestra’s conductor Will Farnham, an accomplished Tenafly high school graduate himself, at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue, today, Friday, February 6 at 7:00 pm, free of charge.

The Highwood Ensemble’s oboist, Bob LeClair, will perform with the Fides String Quartet at the Presbyterian Church. Works including a British/Irish folk song, a Canadian work influenced by the composer’s Syrian heritage and another‘s combination of Viennese and Czech influences. Both composers were working oboists before turning to composition! Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 pm, free of charge.

Join in for some nonsensical fun at the Mad Hatter Tea Party at the Presbyterian Church. Come dressed in your best costume attire (nothing too scary, please)! Ages three years old through fourth grade accompanied by an adult. Saturday, March 7 at 3:00 pm, $5 per child (payable at the door). Seating is limited! Please RSVP to 201-567-0111 by March 4.
