Theft
01/19/2026-Chanel Cutler age 33 of Bloomfield NJ. Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a female took several articles of clothing and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $571.74. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and placed her under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.
01/23/2026-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from 40 Conger Street (Troy Towers). A package was delivered on 01/14/2026 however, the complainant was unable to retrieve the package until 01/19/2026. When she went to the common area where packages are delivered, the package was missing. The package contained sweat pants valued at $80.00. This incident is under investigation.
01/23/2026-A resident responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Package Theft from 75 Arlington Avenue (The Grove). According to the complainant, three packages were taken from the mailroom of the apartment building on three separate occasions. On 01/03/2026 a boot dryer was taken, on 01/17/2026 ski pants and a thermal shirt were taken and on 01/17/2026 a flashlight was taken. The total value for the packages is $148.44. These incidents are under investigation.
These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time.
