
1. On 01/19/2026 at 9:25 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old male, Ronaldo Paredes-Toloza of Bogota, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $4,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Paredes-Toloza was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
2. On 01/19/2026 at 12:32 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old female, Leyvis Delarosa of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500.00. Ms. Delarosa was released on his own recognizance in relation to both outstanding warrants, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
3. On 01/19/2026 at 2:36 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old male, Johan Hidalgo-Obregon of Madison, WI for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Derry Township Police Department in Pennsylvania with no bail. Mr. Hidalgo-Obregon was also charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Hidalgo-Obregon was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
4. On 01/20/2026 at 6:59 PM, the Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a verbal dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 32-year-old male, Andrew Lopez of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bedminster, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bloomfield, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option. Newark along with the Irvington Police Department and the Bloomfield Police Department did release Mr. Lopez on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Mr. Lopez was able to post bail for the involved warrant issued out of Bedminster, NJ and he was released from police custody.
5. On 01/21/2026 at 9:38 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 38-year-old female, Demarisa Tompkins of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Ms. Tompkins was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
6. On 01/21/2026 at 9:35 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take into custody a 34-year-old male, Rashon Turner of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $10,000.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $10,000.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $10,000. Mr. Turner was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
7. On 01/21/2026 at 7:52 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 54-year-old male, Angel Nieves of Nutley, NJ for Tampering with Public Records [2C:28-7A(1)] and Possession of Burglar Tools [2C:5-5A(1)]. Mr. Nieves was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.
8. On 01/22/2026 at 6:40 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of Seaview Drive and New County Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old male, Adebambo Awonorin of Newark, NJ for 2 counts of Exhibiting a False Insurance Card [2C:21-2.3B]. Mr. Awonorin was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
9. On 01/22/2026 at 10:56 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 45-year-old male, Eugenio Avila of Paterson, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Avila was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairfield, NJ in the amount of $1,250.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Avila was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
10. On 01/23/2026 at 12:53 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old female, Brenda Tapia of Union City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Tapia was issued her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
11. On 01/23/2026 at 4:08 PM, Secaucus Police responded to The Harper located at 110 Plaza Drive on a report of an individual soliciting candy in the building. During the investigation, the police arrested a 16-year-old male of Secaucus, NJ for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon [2C:39-5D]. The juvenile male was issued his juvenile complaint summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
12. On 01/24/2026 at 9:36 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 52-year-old male, Juan Garcia-Utate of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. North Bergen did release Mr. Garcia-Utate on his own recognizance pending a future court date, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
13. On 01/25/2026 at 4:16 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male, Wilmer Batentzoc of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clark, NJ in the amount of $500.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Mr. Batentzoc was released on his own recognizance pending future court date dates, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
14. On 01/25/2026 at 8:09 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Secaucus University Hospital located at 55 Meadowland Parkway on a report of a verbal dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Teofilo Brito of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Livingston, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00. Mr. Brito was subsequently transported to the North Bergen Police Department.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
