Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

Enjoy a $150 discount when you combine Pool Membership with Recky’s or Teen Camp. And, take advantage of the early bird special discount for summertime Pool Membership. Visit the Borough website under Parks & Recreation for details and sign up on Community Pass.

You’re invited to join in for the Class of 2026 Tux Show, a fun evening that supports our senior class! The Tux Show, along with the HSA Auction, will take place at The Collins and Tall Auditorium at THS on Saturday, January 24. Doors will open at 5:30 pm with the HSA Auction starting at 6:00 pm, followed by the Senior Tux show. This popular event showcases our students and helps raise funds for senior class activities. Ticket Information: $20 per person when purchased in advance through the THS School Cash System, $25 at the door.

Join in Scottish Night in Celebration of Robert Burns – for an evening of stories, bagpiping, singing, dancing, poetry, and tastes of Scotland in this tartan-clad highlight of the Tenafly calendar. At the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue on Saturday, January 24 at 5:00 pm. Free of charge.

Due to the impending snow storm Tenafly Nature Center programs will be cancelled and the facilities will be closed on Sunday, January 25 and Monday, January 26.

The Tenafly Library Friends will be presenting a Book Talk with author, Sam Gronner this Tuesday, January 27 at 10:30 am. Mr. Gronner will discuss his acclaimed book, Loss and Legacy; a fascinating book that chronicles his father's half century quest to re-claim his family's property and good name taken during the Nazi Holocaust. It is free to the public and no registration is needed.

The Tenafly Elks at 20 Franklin Street are hosting an evening of comedy on Saturday, January 31 at 9:00 pm, doors open at 7:30 pm. Featuring two headliners, Chip Ambrogio and Richie Byrne. Sure to be a terrifically fun night, it is for adults 21 and over. $50 per person with a cash bar, dessert and coffee included. For tickets and details call Adele at 201-245-2911.

The Tenafly Garden Club invites the community to our presentation on Monday, February 2, at 11:30 am in the Garden Room at Davis Johnson Park. The speaker, Robyn Lowenthal’s topic is “All About Coleus.” For information contact Mary at mmlizzi@hotmail.com.

Come and enjoy a Tenafly High School Orchestra Concert on Friday, February 6 at 7:00 pm. Then next will be Tenafly’s own renowned oboist Bob LeClair, leading an Oboe and String Quartet, on Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 pm. All free of charge at the Presbyterian Church, 55 Magnolia Avenue.
