One Dead and Three Injured After Residential Fire in Ringwood
30 Peters Mine Road, Ringwood, NJ

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Ringwood Chief of Police Ronald Porta announce that on January 16, 2026, at approximately 6:30 a.m., The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office was notified of a residential fire at 30 Peters Mine Road in Ringwood, New Jersey. Members of the Ringwood Police Department and Fire Prevention Bureau were on scene. Seven residents were able to exit the house, with three of them transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center. Another resident, a 74-year-old female from Ringwood, New Jersey, was unable to exit the structure and was subsequently found deceased.

This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
