Tenafly Mayor's Message, January 9, 2026

Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

The Tenafly Library Friends are starting off the new year with two exciting programs in the upcoming week. First, on Sunday, January 11 at 2:00 pm, there will be a special concert in the library featuring the Thurnauer School of Music. This is always a wonderful family event. It is free and no registration is needed.

Then on Tuesday, January 13 at 1:00 pm, the Tenafly Library Friends' Matinee Movie will be The Eight Mountains. This 2022 Italian drama was beautifully shot in the Italian Alps and is a fan favorite. It is free so come and enjoy!

This week the Nature Center is offering its January Seasonal Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, January 10 and Sunday, January 11, with clues available between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. Volunteers can also join Forest Defenders on Sunday, and Maple Sugaring season is right around the corner, with Sap to Syrup programs beginning January 18. The Naghash Ensemble of nine is bringing traditional Armenian music to life. This group tours extensively worldwide and this is a tremendous opportunity to experience them here in Tenafly. Organized by the Tekyan Cultural Association for Saturday, January 10 at 6:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church. Tickets can be purchased at: www.naghashensemble.com
