Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of 20-year-old NYLA J. KING of Wallington, NJ; 27-year-old KAS A. MALLORY of Wallington, NJ; and 27-year-old TREVONN A. NEVERS of River Edge, NJ; as well as charges filed against a 17-year-old juvenile from Passaic County, NJ, in connection with an armed home invasion. The arrests and charges are the result of a lengthy investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, under the direction of Deputy Chief Jeff Angermeyer, and the Lodi Police Department, under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Lodi Police Department responded to reports of screams at an apartment complex on Bel Vista Court. Responding officers determined that a marijuana transaction occurred inside an apartment during which the victim was confronted by three masked assailants. One of the masked suspects struck the victim in the head with a firearm. The victim was able to break free from the attack and run to safety. One of the masked suspects chased the victim, while two suspects remained behind and proceeded to burglarize the apartment, taking money and marijuana. The three suspects then fled the scene in a Hyundai Santa Fe. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad was notified, responded to the scene, and initiated a joint investigation with the Lodi Police Department.

During the months-long investigation that followed, detectives determined that the Hyundai Santa Fe in question was utilized by KAS A. MALLORY. Through further investigation, detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Lodi Police Department were able to identify TREVONN A. NEVERS, KAS A. MALLORY, and a 17-year-old juvenile as the masked assailants who committed the armed home invasion robbery, burglary, and assault that took place.

On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with the assistance of the Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, TREVONN A. NEVERS and KAS A. MALLORY were located at their respective residences and taken into custody. During a court-authorized search at MALLORY’s residence, a stolen semi-automatic Glock 9mm handgun was recovered, as well as an extended drum magazine and ammunition. NYLA J.
