Theft
12/15/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male concealed several pairs of children’s shoes in a reusable bag and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $179.94. This incident is under investigation.

12/15/2025-David Graham age 54 of Newark NJ. Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took three pairs of sneakers and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $239.97. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and placed him under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

12/16/2025-Officers responded to the 100 block of North 13th Street on report of a Package Theft. A resident received a RING doorbell alert while he was at work which showed an unknown individual taking a package from his porch. The package contained clothing valued at $59.00. This incident is under investigation.

12/17/2025-Officers responded to 250 Glenwood Avenue (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male concealed several cosmetic items in a reusable bag and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $100.00. This incident is under investigation.

12/19/2025-Valentino Rogers age 38 of Newark NJ. While on routine patrol, Officers observed a male walk into 135 Bloomfield Avenue (Staples) with an empty bag and immediately walk out with the bag full. The male then placed the bag near bushes and began to walk away. Officers then stopped the male and asked him for a receipt for the items, which he could not produce and denied that the bag belonged to him. The items were valued at $110.93. Officers placed the suspect under arrest for Shoplifting and transported him to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

12/19/2025-Damien Echeverria age 26 of Elizabeth NJ. Officers responded to 8 Franklin Street (Children’s Place) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male placed various clothing items in a bag and attempted to leave the store without paying. When the suspect was approached by the employee, he dropped the bag and fled the store. The items were valued at $825.90. Officers were able to locate the suspect nearby and placed him under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.

12/20/2025-Officers responded to 77 Bloomfield Avenue (Walgreens) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male concealed numerous items in a laundry bag and left the store without paying. The items were valued at approximately $400.00. This incident is under investigation.

12/20/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male concealed several packages of underwear in a bag and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $249.00. This incident is under investigation.

12/20/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a female took six purses from the rack and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $239.94. This incident is under investigation.

12/21/2025-Officers responded to 331 Broad Street (CVS) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took several items from the medical section and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $173.62. This incident is under investigation.

Burglary
12/18/2025-Officers responded to the area of Brookdale Gardens on report of a Burglary. A resident noticed the padlock missing on his garage door and damage to the siding. The resident then noticed that his motorcycle was missing from the garage. The motorcycle, a 2024 red CanAm Maverick ATV, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.


These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time. The information is released to the press at the discretion of the police department and may not represent the total scope of police activity. All persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
