
On October 30, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Reid conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee on South Orange Avenue after learning the driver was wanted for a robbery out of Wayne, NJ. The driver refused to comply with officers’ commands and would not exit the vehicle. Officers were able to unlock the door and safely remove him. A search incident to arrest revealed a canister of mace. Kevin Stuart, age 52, of Saint Albans, NY, was taken into custody and charged with Obstruction and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He was subsequently turned over to Wayne Police.
On November 1, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Genitempo conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2009 BMW X5 at Millburn Avenue and Ridgewood Road for motor vehicle violations. The investigation resulted in the driver being arrested for suspicion of DWI. Manuel Ramirez, age 37, of North Plainfield, was taken into custody for DWI and later released to a family member.
On November 3, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Tucker located a Kia Sportage reported stolen out of Perth Amboy traveling north on Old Short Hills Road. Officer Tucker attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled north on Old Short Hills Road. Millburn Police pursued the vehicle until it lost control and struck bushes and trees on residential property, causing the front tires to deflate. Two juvenile suspects (16 YOA) exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Both juveniles were apprehended a short time later and transported to the Essex County Youth House.
On November 4, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Griffin observed a male subject entering the Kings Shopping Center who had previously been trespassed from the location due to multiple shoplifting incidents. Officer Griffin stopped the suspect, Jeffrey Nelson, age 48, of Irvington. He was placed under arrest and charged with Defiant Trespassing.
On November 6, 2025, Millburn Police responded to Walgreens on a report of a female suspect who had previously been trespassed from the store. Officers located the suspect, identified as Shanequa Boyd, age 39, of Newark. She was placed under arrest and charged with Defiant Trespassing.
On November 11, 2025, Millburn Police responded to the Short Hills Mall on a report of a female refusing to leave a restroom. Mall security requested she be trespassed from the property. Officers made contact with the woman, who continued to refuse to leave. A records check revealed she had an active arrest warrant out of Camden County. During a search incident to arrest, officers located containers on her suspected to contain crack cocaine and two crack pipes. Victoria Simmons, age 33, of Camden, NJ, was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Essex County Jail.
On November 18, 2025, Millburn Police Officer Bifano attempted to stop a red 2011 Volvo traveling westbound on Route 24 for a motor vehicle violation. The vehicle refused to stop and continued to accelerate and disregard the officer’s attempts to pull it over. Summit Police located the vehicle a short time later, and Millburn officers responded to the scene. Adjea Lendor, age 44, of Newark, was taken into custody and charged with Eluding. He was also found to have an active warrant out of Morristown.
On November 19, 2025, during early morning hours, Millburn Police responded to a residence on Glen Avenue for a reported burglary. The actors gained entry through an unlocked window and subsequently stole the homeowner’s vehicle from the driveway.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
