On June 27, P.O. James Harte and P.O. Joseph Fullam investigated a motor vehicle accident on Wyckoff Avenue. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Debra Dranoff, Wyckoff NJ, age 63. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Her vehicle was impounded and held for 12 hours under John’s Law.
On June 29, the Stop & Shop Supermarket reported a shoplifting had occurred on June 26. Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci investigated and was able to identify the suspects as Angelo Garcia, Lincoln Park NJ, age 35 and John Lyons, Wantage NJ, age 35. Arrest warrants were issued for both suspects.
On July 25, the ShopRite Supermarket reported a shoplifting that occurred on the prior day. Det. Sgt. Michael Ragucci investigated and obtained video surveillance of the actor. On July 29, while off duty, Det. Sgt. Ragucci observed the actor on Godwin Avenue in Midland Park. With the assistance of Wyckoff and Midland Park officers, the suspect was taken into custody and transported to Wyckoff Headquarters. Jason Webb, Midland Park NJ, age 44 was charged with one count of shoplifting. He was released pending a court date.
On August 1, P.O. Robert Schlossberg observed a Ford Transit van travelling on Route 208 South. Oakland Police had previously advised that the driver of the van was wanted by the Lodi NJ Police department. P.O. Schlossberg stopped the van and took the driver into custody on the outstanding warrant. He was turned over to the Lodi Police.
On August 10, Sgt. Kyle Ferreira and P.O. James Bakelaar responded to the ShopRite supermarket on a reported shoplifting. The officers investigated and identified the suspect as Michael Mullin, Wyckoff NJ, age 49. He was transported into headquarters and charged with one count of shoplifting. He was released pending a court date.
On August 17, Sgt. Ryan Noon, P.O. Kyle Scherm, and P.O. Marisa Santo responded to the ShopRite supermarket on a reported shoplifting. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Robin Barker, Hawthorne NJ, age 44. She was transported into headquarters and charged with one count of Shoplifting. She was released pending a court date.
On August 19, multiple Wyckoff officers were dispatched to the Columbia Bank on a reported fraud in progress. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Ousmane Bah, Bronx NY, age 27; Kalvin Page, Elizabethtown NC, age 26; and Shirley Rivera NY, NY, age 42. Rivera was charged with 2 counts of forgery, 2 counts of wrongful impersonation, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Page was charged with forgery by uttering, 2 counts of knowingly exhibiting false documents and wrongful impersonation. Bah was charged with forgery, 2 counts of knowingly exhibiting false documents and wrongful impersonation. They were all released pending a court date.
On August 19, at approximately 11:00 PM, P.O. Michael Scalise observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Wyckoff Avenue. He stopped the vehicle, and the investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, Jarvis Woodfine, Paterson NJ, age 29. He was transported into headquarters and charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to consent to breath samples, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to possess a valid drivers license, and failure to observe marked traffic lanes. After processing, he was released to a family member pending a court date. His vehicle was impounded and held for 12 hours under John’s Law.
Multiple vehicle burglaries were reported during the overnight hours on August 28. Residents of Oak Avenue, Saw Mill Lane, Evers Avenue, Newtown Road, Yale Avenue, Wyckoff Avenue, Vassar Street, and Auburn Street all reported that their unlocked vehicles were entered. Among the items reported stolen were sunglasses, electronics, financial documents, wallets, cash, and EZ Pass transponders. No locked vehicles were entered. The detective bureau is investigating the thefts.
The Wyckoff Police Department would like to point out that the above individuals have been charged with a crime, offense, and or motor vehicle violations. However, they are presumed innocent unless and until they are found guilty in a court of law.
We cannot stress enough the value of our residents remaining alert in their neighborhoods and reporting anything unusual or suspicious to the police, “Hear It! See It!, Report It!”
