MEREDITH T. BERGENBACK
OXFORD, NEW JERSEY

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, following a five week long investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine, within Warren County, Meredith T. Bergenback was arrested. During the investigation, Bergenback was identified as the suspect in this narcotics investigation. Meredith Bergenback was arrested, processed, and lodged in the Warren County Correctional Center.
Bergenback was charged on a Complaint Warrant with the below offenses.
- Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10a(1), a crime of the third degree;
- Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with the Intent to Distribute, methamphetamine in a quantity greater than ½ ounce, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(9)(a), a crime of the second degree;
- Distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, methamphetamine in a quantity greater than ½ ounce, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5b(9)(a), a crime of the second degree.
Second degree crimes carry a maximum sentence of ten (10) years in the New Jersey State Prison and third degree crimes carry a maximum sentence of five (5) years in the New Jersey State Prison.
The charges are merely accusations. The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
The investigation was conducted by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Washington Township Police Department. Assisting with the investigation was the Warren County Tactical Response Team, and the Mansfield Township Police Department.
