Guttenberg Police Blotter: November 10, 2025 to November 16, 2025

1. On November 10th, 2025, while on patrol, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed an assault on Bergenline Avenue. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 39-year-old Edison D. Sornoza-Pacheco of West New York, NJ, for simple assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Mr. Pacheco was transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Pacheco was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody.

2. On November 10th, 2025, while on patrol, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed that a construction site gate was unsecured, possib1ly indicating someone was trespassing on private property. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 49-year-old Octavio Tzoy of Cliffside Park, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:13-3A] and hindering his own apprehension [2C:29-3B]. Mr. Tzoy was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Tzoy was issued his complaint summons and then released from police custody.

3. On November 12th, 2025, a male walked into the Guttenberg Police Department with an active warrant, issued by the Guttenberg Municipal Court. At that time, officers arrested 34-year-old Nickwon K. Arvinger of North Bergen, NJ. Mr. Arvinger was processed at the Guttenberg Police Department and then released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance.

4. On November 14th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 52-year-old Tian H. Chen of Jersey City, NJ, after discovering that he had two active warrants, issued by the Jersey City Municipal Court. Mr. Chen was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Chen was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the Jersey City Municipal Court.

5. On November 15th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 55-year-old Frank Moreira of North Bergen, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the West New York Municipal Court. Mr. Moreira was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Moreira was transferred into the custody of the West New York Police Department.

6. On November 15th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department observed a motor vehicle accident. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 40-year-old Noe Balan-Espital of Guttenberg, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Balan-Espital was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, he was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the care of staff from the Palisades Medical Center.
