
Theft
11/10/2025-A complainant responded to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to report a Theft from 60 Orange Street (Home Depot). The complainant left his backpack in a display shed after helping a customer. When he went back to retrieve it, it was missing. The backpack contained a laptop, cell phone, and two speakers. The items were valued at $1,950.00. This incident is under investigation.
11/10/2025-Officers responded to 135 Bloomfield Avenue (Staples) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the store manager, a male took a display projector and left the store without paying. The item was valued at $599.46. This incident is under investigation.
11/10/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took five packages of t-shirts and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $124.95. This incident is under investigation.
11/11/2025-Officers responded to 8-12 Franklin Street (Marshalls) on report of a Shoplifting. According to the Loss Prevention Officer, a male took multiple packages of socks and underwear and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $147.93. This incident is under investigation.
11/12/2025-Officers responded to 600 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar General) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took several bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $73.35. This incident is under investigation.
11/12/2025-Christopher McLeod age 51 of Philadelphia PA. Officers responded to 600 Bloomfield Avenue (Dollar General) on report of a Shoplifting. According to a store employee, a male took several bottles of detergent and left the store without paying. The items were valued at $73.35. Officers were able to locate the suspect and placed him under arrest. The suspect was transported to Bloomfield Police Headquarters to be processed accordingly.
11/13/2025-Officers responded to 136 Bloomfield Avenue (Tu Punto Del Sabor) on report of a Theft. According to the owner, a male entered the restaurant and asked to use the bathroom. The male then took a $20.00 bill that was hanging on the wall and fled the area on foot. This incident is under investigation.
11/13/2025-Officers responded to 126 Bloomfield Avenue (Plaza Diner) on report of a Theft. According to an employee, a male entered the restaurant, took $11.00 from the counter and fled the area on foot. This incident is under investigation.
11/13/2025-Officers responded to 10 Chester Avenue (Nano’s) on report of a Theft. According to the owner, a male entered the restaurant, took $20.00 from the tip jar and fled the area on foot. This incident is under investigation.
Motor Vehicle Theft
11/13/2025-Officers responded to the area of Lewis Street on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident left his vehicle unlocked and running while he went inside his residence and when he returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a gray 2020 Acura RDX, was entered stolen. This incident is under investigation.
11/13/2025-Officers responded to the 200 block of Ampere Parkway on report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. A resident left her vehicle unlocked and running while she went inside her residence then when she returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle, a white 2021 Toyota Rav, was entered as stolen. This incident is under investigation.
Burglary
11/11/2025-Officers responded to 104 Orange Street on report of a Burglary. A resident arrived at his storage unit and noticed the roof had been peeled back. Upon further inspection, he noticed several pairs of high end shoes were missing. The items were valued at $20,000.00. This incident is under investigation.
These incidents are currently being investigated by Bloomfield Detectives. Due to the on-going investigations, information will not be released at this time. The information is released to the press at the discretion of the police department and may not represent the total scope of police activity. All persons are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
