Teenage Female Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 9:44 p.m. on October 26, 2025, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of East 25th Street and 23rd Avenue on a report of a shooting. As police were arriving on scene, they learned that a 18-year-old female victim from Paterson, New Jersey, was transported via private vehicle to St. Jospeh’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
