Guttenberg Police Blotter: July 28, 2025 to August 3, 2025

1. On July 28th, 2025, the Guttenberg Police Department received a report of three individuals trespassing inside of the Anna L. Klein School. A subsequent criminal investigation led to the identification of all three suspects. On July 29th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested 40-year-old Mercedita Angeles of Guttenberg, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3]. Mr. Angeles was transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Angeles was issued her complaint summons and then released from police custody.

2. As part of a criminal investigation regarding trespassers at Anna L. Klein School, on July 30th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested 29-year-old Justin Angarita of Guttenberg, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3]. Mr. Angarita was processed, issued his complaint warrant, and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

3. As part of a criminal investigation regarding trespassers at Anna L. Klein School, on July 31st, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau arrested 29-year-old Kaven Henriquez, of Fairview, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3]. Mr. Henriquez was processed, issued his complaint warrant, and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

4. On August 2nd, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 27-year-old Rianna Velez of Guttenberg, NJ, after discovering that she had an active warrant, issued by the Edgewater Municipal Court. Ms. Velez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Velez was released on her own recognizance, pending her next court appearance with the Edgewater Municipal Court.

The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
