
1. On May 23rd, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 40-year-old Moises Jimenez of Jersey City, NJ, after discovering that he had two active warrants, issued by the Jersey City Municipal Court. Mr. Jimenez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Jimenez was transferred into the custody of officers from the Jersey City Police Department.
2. On May 24th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 28-year-old Chris A. Fernandez of West New York, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the North Bergen Municipal Court. Mr. Fernandez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Fernandez was issued summonses for traffic violations and then released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the North Bergen Municipal Court.
3. On May 25th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a residence on 70th Street, after receiving a report of a disorderly individual. During their on-scene investigation, officers discovered that 29-year-old Juan C. Sunun-Lopez of Guttenberg, NJ, was extremely intoxicated and throwing items around the home. Due to his state, officers determined that Mr. Sunun-Lopez was a danger to others and himself, and called for an ambulance to take him to a local hospital. Mr. Sunun-Lopez resisted officers’ efforts and eventually, when inside of the ambulance, spit on one of the emergency medical technicians who was attempting to provide him aid. Once cleared from the local hospital, Mr. Sunun-Lopez was charged with throwing bodily fluid on an EMT [2C:12-13] and disorderly conduct [2C:33- 2A(1)]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Sunun-Lopez was issued his complaint warrant and then lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.
