Freedy Johnston's Tuesday Night Live

Join Freedy Johnston for an intimate, fun filled evening of stories and songs. A different location, and different set list each week, with an occasional special guest. On Tuesday, Oct. 7th, 2025, he'll be joined by Boo Reiners (Demolition String Band and Amercana Family Jamboree) at the Hoboken HIstorical Museum, 1301 Hudson Street, in Hooken. Seating is limited, so get your tickets early. Originally from Kansas and now based in New Jersey, Freedy Johnson has acquired a great deal of media acclaim and fan adoration since the beginning of his career. His sophomore album which was described upon its 1992 release as “a perfect album” by The Village Voice, Can You Fly will be available again for the first time in a quarter-century. It has been remastered for compact disc and vinyl, including a clear vinyl first pressing and the 13-song Americana-rock classic is re-released by Sunset Blvd Records on July 11, 2025. People described it as, “an extraordinary second album, one of the most tuneful, propulsive and penetrating of this or any year.”

Boo Reiners is a multi-instrumentalist performer based in the NYC area. He leads the Hoboken-based Americana act Demolition String Band with Elena Skye and is a go-to sideman and collaborator for bands and artists from a wide spectrum of genres including rock, bluegrass, R&B, pop, country, hip hop, jazz, blues, big band, klezmer, folk, and children's music. His list of touring and recording credits includes indie rockers Dispatch, Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh, Al Kooper, Pete Seeger, Grand Ole Opry member Charlie Louvin, Amy Poehler, Zooey Dechanel and M. Ward, Ben Stiller and Kristen Wiig, Michael Moore, country music trailblazer Ronnie Stoneman, and jazz artist Michael Leonhart, to name a few. His work with world music pioneers The Klezmatics culminated in the group's 2007 Grammy Award win for their album "Wonder Wheel: Lyrics By Woody Guthrie." A mainstay in Hoboken's own little big band, Swingadelic has featured Reiners on their albums, in concert, and recently in their appearance in the dark comedy crime drama television series “Your Friends & Neighbors” on Apple TV starring Jon Hamm.
