Welcome to the Gospel Workshop!

This workshop is led by Brandon McCune, a brilliant Newark-based pianist and educator, who brings his deep understanding and experience as a gospel music director to the Harmony Lab at Express Newark. McCune will be hosting bi-weekly seminars focused on teaching musicians the foundational principles of gospel music. The seminars will also focus on the underlying cultural concepts of empathy and service as they pertain to using music as a tool to amplify the emotional depths of the voices in our community. The seminar will be open to all musicians and will utilize the keyboards in the Harmony Lab to afford every musician the opportunity to directly participate.
