Craft Supply Swap

We are collecting your new/like-new/gently-used craft supplies and finding them a new home where they will be used!

Donation Days:

• Donate items from Saturday November 1 through Friday November 7 only, during regular library hours.

• Please limit to 1-2 bags or boxes.

• Bring to the Reference Desk.

• If you donate supplies, you will receive a ticket for admission to the first hour of the swap.

The Day of the Swap - Rules and Timeline:

• Saturday, November 8: Please do not bring any new donations!

• On arrival, swappers will each receive one shopping bag to fill.

• 1:30 - 2:30 -- the first hour is limited to those who donated materials (you must bring your ticket!)

• 2:30 - 3:30 -- the second hour is open to everyone (limit one bag)

• 3:30 - 4:00 -- unlimited supply pickup

• Any items remaining at the end will be donated to local organizations or kept for library programming.

Guidelines:

• Items should be new or very gently used, clean and dry, free from damage and mildew, in good working condition.
• Small items (e.g. beads) or sets of items (e.g. markers) should be bagged together.
• All items should be easily lifted and carried by one person.
• The library has the right to refuse or recycle items.

Suggested Items -- including but not limited to:

• beads and jewelry making supplies

• brushes, canvases, unopened paint

• knitting needles, crochet hooks, yarn

• unopened clay

• ribbon, fabric, trim, embroidery thread, needles

• scrapbook paper, stickers, scissors and punches

• drawing supplies (pencils, markers)

• small sewing or craft machines

• craft kits or supplies for kids
