Health shouldn’t depend on knowing the right phone number to call, and housing shouldn’t require navigating a maze of paperwork. Getting help shouldn’t feel like solving a puzzle when your world is falling apart. Yet, every day vital resources remain just out of reach for families struggling to meet their basic needs. While services exist, navigating the system is often part of the problem.
That’s where the [Health Coalition of Passaic County](http://www.healthcoalitionpc.org/) steps in. The coalition links community-based organizations, healthcare systems, and health insurance managed-care organizations to one another to improve access to care and help residents get healthy and thrive.
Our speakers will cover:
* Social drivers of health * Free public resource directory for food, transportation, clothing, and more * Pathways to Success for Seniors program that pairs community health workers with eligible older adults for one-on-one support
The speakers are three Health Coalition of Passaic County representatives: Kimberly Birdsall, executive director; Melissa Flynn, Community Action Board manager; and Ivone Simms, partnership coordinator.
This talk is at the meetinghouse and on Zoom. To receive the Zoom link, please email admin@ethicalfocus.org by noon on Friday.
