This session gives parents practical, age‑appropriate strategies to help toddlers feel safe and supported during emergencies. Families learn how young children understand safety, what simple routines are practiced (fire drills, shelter‑in‑place, and quiet‑time lockdowns), and we can introduce these concepts in calm, reassuring ways.
Parents will also receive guidance on how to talk to toddlers about emergencies without causing fear, along with quick tips for building consistent safety habits at home. The goal is to strengthen confidence, reduce anxiety, and ensure parents feel informed and prepared.
Any children in attendance will have the chance to do a fun craft after the presentation!
