Introduction to Preserving Your Personal Archives

Is your home full of photographs, analog home movies, correspondence, journals, and audio recordings that you're not sure how to care for, or organize? Join us for this workshop to learn best practices for preserving your personal archives, and find out how to safeguard them for future generations.

This is a beginner level workshop. We'll start with an introduction covering basic preservation principles for different formats, and in the final half hour participants can ask questions on how to care for specific items in their collections. Feel free to bring some samples from your home to show the workshop facilitator, and get advice on how to care for various objects!
