In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the U.S. and Women's History Month, local historian Joel Farkas will present a slide-lecture titled "Remember the Ladies: Women During the American Revolution" on Sunday, March 22 at 2:00 pm in the Quilt Room. Women played critical roles in every part of the American Revolution. Learn what it was like to be a woman then. What were the attitudes toward women before the war? What was health and medicine like in colonial times? What did our First Ladies Martha Washington, Abigail Adams, Martha Jefferson, and Dolly Madison really contribute? And what lessons were learned regarding women's roles after the war? Registration is required.
