"The Turncoat and the Patriot"

Author and local historian Jim Wright will present a slide-lecture titled "The Turncoat and the Patriot" on Sunday, January 25 at 2:00 pm in the Allendale Community Center. This illustrated program will focus on New Jersey Governor William Franklin (1763-1776) and Judge John Fell of Allendale. Although their paths never crossed, their parallel lives provide a unique look at New Jersey in Revolutionary times. These were two exceptional men and their local legacies will be discussed. This free event will be sponsored by the Lee Memorial Library and the historic John Fell House.
