Social Security went into effect 88 years ago this month. Controversial then and now, it has nonetheless become an essential part of American life and culture. FDR considered passing Social Security to be his greatest domestic achievement. This program traces the creation and passage of the Social Security Insurance Act, one of the most important pieces of social legislation in American history.
This event will be held in the Teaneck Library Auditorium.
