Ever since Karen (KB is her lifelong nickname) was 13 years old, she has loved working with children. Whether it was babysitting, tutoring or working as a camp counselor, she has enjoyed the enthusiasm and zest for life children exude. KB has learned as much from all her young friends as they have from her. KB loves to be silly and laugh and play, which is a good thing, because, so do children!
KB graduated from Columbia University with a Masters of Science in 1995. In the last 31 years, she has worked in a variety of settings, including pediatric rehabilitation hospitals, Early Intervention, adult rehabilitative outpatient clinics, schools, private home settings, non-profit agencies and private pediatric clinics.
KB is also a fitness instructor, a personal trainer, an ordained marriage minister, a certified aqua instructor, a lifeguard and has taught a variety of mommy and me classes.
In her free time, KB enjoys all water sports, hiking, reading and spending time with her two adult sons, friends and extended family
