The Westwood Library Garden Club will host Winter Seed Sowing presented by master gardener, Lynn.
Do you want to get a jump on spring? Are you interested in growing native plants inexpensively? Winter native seed sowing is a method of planting seeds in outdoor containers during the winter to allow them to naturally experience cold and wet conditions, which is necessary for many native plants to germinate. It’s rewarding and fun and gives you something to look forward to. Grab your milk jugs and recycled containers to get your garden started. Lynne Proskow is a Master gardener, who is passionate about healing nature through ecorestoration, and teaching the benefits of regenerative gardening practices.
