Sensory & Motor Story Time

FOR AGES 18 MONTHS-4 YEARS: Join us for a Sensory & Motor Story Time led by Christina Lubrino, a pediatric occupational therapist, from Playful Pathways NJ. This class includes songs focusing on motor imitation, story time, parachute play, obstacle course/ gross motor movement activities, tactile play, art, bubbles, and so much more! PLEASE NOTE: Materials at the tactile station(s) may contain small pieces, parents/caregivers must supervise their children. LIMITED TO 15 CHILDREN - RSVP REQUIRED.

This sensory & motor story time playgroup activity designed by a pediatric occupational therapist focusing on exploring the sensory systems, fine and gross motor skills and social play, while promoting communication and parent/caregiver bonding. Learn to engage your child in play using ALL the sensory systems including vestibular, proprioceptive, tactile, visual and auditory! This playgroup will be structured, including activity stations with songs focusing on motor imitation, story time, parachute play, obstacle course/ gross motor movement activities, messy play, art, bubbles and so much more! Each class will include a tactile sensory station and/or tactile art activity to build fine motor development, focus on language skills, following simple directions and social skills!

The therapist will lead the activities, and parents are encouraged to join in with their child to complete each part of the class.
