On Tuesday, February 24, 2026 the Morning Book Club will discuss The House of Lincoln by Nancy Horan. Fourteen-year-old Ana Ferreira works in the Lincoln household, witnessing Mary and Abraham Lincoln’s lives, confronting racial prejudice, and observing the Underground Railroad, while experiencing slavery’s contradictions and the 1908 Springfield race riot’s lasting impact.
The Morning Book Club usually meets on the last Tuesday of the month from 11:00am to 12:00pm. In December, we will meet on the third Tuesday. Join us for engaging discussion of popular and thought-provoking books. Books are selected by the group on recommendation of staff. Copies are available for checkout at the downstairs desk.
