On Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the Evening Book Club will be discussing The Marriage of Opposites by Alice Hoffman. In 1880s St. Thomas, rebellious Rachel, a Jewish woman longing for freedom, defies convention by falling in love with her late husband's nephew. Their forbidden affair shocks her community and shapes the destiny of her son – the future artist Camille Pissarro.
The Evening Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of the month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. Join us for engaging discussion of popular and thought-provoking books. Books are selected by the group on recommendation of staff. Copies are available for checkout at the downstairs desk. If interested, contact orla.cassidy@oradell.bccls.org
