Award-winning flutist Dr. Carol Shansky performs 19th century romantic pieces for flute and piano.
The music that is most familiar from the 19th century is for violin or piano, the flute being relegated to simple salon music. But, in fact, a repertoire of substantial compositions does exist and this concert exposes the audience to composers and pieces that they otherwise would not hear.
