The Beach Boys, one of the most influential groups in the history of pop music has a long and remarkable history. With careers extending over 60 years, the group and its founder and leader, Brian Wilson, produced early records that established an image of life in Southern California and later recordings that broke new ground in what defines pop. The class will address their origins, the group's growth over the decades, Mr. Wilson’s solo career, and the high points and low points of their story.
