Originally from Kansas and now based in New Jersey, Freedy Johnson has acquired a great deal of media acclaim and fan adoration since the beginning of his career. His sophomore album which was described upon its 1992 release as “a perfect album” by TheVillage Voice, Can You Fly will be available again for the first time in a quarter-century. It has been remastered for compact disc and vinyl, including a clear vinyl first pressing and the 13-song Americana-rock classic is re-released by Sunset Blvd Records on July 11, 2025. People described it as, “an extraordinary second album, one of the most tuneful, propulsive and penetrating of this or any year.”
