Fresh Voices Book Group: The Girls Who Grew Big by Leila Mottley

Sixteen-year-old Adela Woods is sent away to her grandmother’s small Florida town after becoming pregnant, where she meets a group of teen moms known as the Girls. The Fresh Voices Book Group aims to read books by new voices—debut authors with fresh perspectives. Though all are welcome to join, this book group is aimed at readers in their early twenties to thirties.
